Doreen has previously worked as an executive assistant and a project manager for Virya Technologies, and is currently our Business Development Manager.  She seeks out and finds great opportunities for us, and makes sure we are telling the world about all the amazing work we do. 

Doreen is also responsible for managing out regular newsletters, mailshots, and social media communications as well as keeping an eye when people are asking for help with Joomla! or Open Source systems.  She has an extremely keen eye for detail and is an incredibly well organised manager!

Virya Technologies will be exhibiting for the second year running at the Ipswich & Suffolk Small Business Association (ISSBA) Suffolk Business Exhibition on 25th April 2012, at Trinity Park Conference Centre.

We mentioned this evening in our blog post that Google had announced they were opening up Google+ Pages for Business - well, when they say opening up, what they really mean is 'we are going to let you see what they are but you can't try it out yet!' - which is a long-awaited development and could potentially be a rival to Facebook pages.

There are very few companies that can afford not to maintain an effective web presence, even the goliaths that could survive without the added custom usually have some form of web service available. Maintaining a website doesn't need to be hard work and can provide your customers with the added value that generates sales. Many users; business and private, now use search engines such as Google to locate companies offering a service they require. If you don't have a website and your competitors do, you stand to lose countless customers.
