Virya Technologies is a growing business, which has developed from one to three staff over the past year, moving from our small office to a larger office at Basepoint Business Centre. Our Director explains why creating a healthy workplace is at the core of the business model:
Having health conditions myself has meant that setting up the business with health and wellbeing at the core of what we do was a necessity, rather than an add-on. I was determined to be able to run a business while ensuring that the facilities were in place for promoting good health, and took measures to ensure that an open, transparent and caring environment is created where our staff feel comfortable in raising any problems or concerns as soon as they arise.
We are very fortunate at Basepoint to have excellent facilities for those who wish to cycle, and our use of technology means that our staff can work from home as efficiently as they could from the office - unfortunately some are disappointed that this means they won't have any 'snow days' this year!
