Joomla!Day UK events happen once a year, and again this year we're sponsoring the event and Ruth is part of the organsing team.  We're really looking forward to what is shaping up to be a great event, with capacity for up to 200 delegates.

The venue is fantastic - Microsoft's HQ in central London - and while ticket sales remain open for the next couple of days, it is very close to reaching capacity.  If you're interested in Joomla! this is without a doubt the place to be this weekend!

Ruth has been asked to speak on the Administrators line about Joomla! security - from the basics of ensuring you have all the settings required for Joomla! to function optimally through to providing hints and tips on how to secure your Joomla! sites, and ensure that they remain secure.  She will also cover disaster recovery and how to do bare-metal recoveries of websites using Akeeba Backup, and also manually.

If you're not able to make the event don't worry - the resources will be posted online following the event, and all the sessions on Saturday will be filmed (subject to the technology cooperating) and released on the YouTube channel.
