It's less than one week until Walk to Work Week which is a national event held across the UK contributing to National Walking Month. Virya Technologies will be taking part in this week long event and we want as many companies as possible to join or should we say challenge us!
The Suffolk Business Exhibition is now over and what a great success it was. There were over 900 attendees who came to the biggest business to business event in Suffolk and over 100 exhibitors including Virya Technologies.
This year on behalf of Virya Technologies, Director Ruth Cheesley will be attending and speaking at J and Beyond - a three day Joomla! event happening in The Netherlands from the 31st May to 2nd June.
This May, Virya Technologies will be dusting off their walking boots as part of National Walk to Work Week which takes place between 13-17 May. Walk to Work Week is an opportunity for anyone to make an effort to walk more, specifically to and from or during their working day. Along with Walk to School Week (20-24 May), Walk to Work Week forms a part of National Walking Month, an entire month dedicated to get the country walking more.
Joomla!Dagen is happening this Saturday and Sunday (20-21 April) and Director Ruth Cheesley will be representing Virya Technologies as a speaker at this popular well-attended Joomla!Day event.
Joomla!Day events are an opportunity for the community in an area - either a country or a geographical region - to come together and share their knowledge, expertise and interests.
Virya Technologies for the past month had great fun coming up with ideas to support the annual Comic Relief event 'Red Nose Day' This year's theme from Comic Relief was to 'do something funny for money' - so the team decided to come to work in their pyjamas and a banana suit!
Virya Technologies will be exhibiting for the third time running at the Suffolk Business Exhibition which will be held on the 1st May at Trinity Park, Ipswich, Suffolk.

On Friday 15th March the team at Virya Technologies will be celebrating Red Nose Day 2013. In order to 'do something funny for money' we will be strutting our stuff in pyjamas to raise buckets of cash for Comic Relief! The whole team will be getting involved and any meetings, travelling to and from work will be in our pyjamas.
Virya Technologies are proud to announce their re-accreditation as a healthy business with the award for the second time running of the Healthy Ambitions Small Business Award. Virya Technologies were presented with the certificate as the only Small Business to be recognised in 2013 for their efforts to create a healthy workplace and encourage wellbeing at work. The certificate was awarded at a ceremony last Friday at the Trinity Park Conference Centre.
February has been a busy month in the Virya Technologies office, and we thought what better way to take a break and have some fun then to join in with the ISSBA quiz night on the 26th February. The quiz night comes at a perfect time for us, as it's birthday week in the Virya Technologies office with three employees celebrating - one of us is turning 18, you'll have to guess who!
This time last year, Virya Technologies had three in-house employees located at Basepoint, Ipswich. Due to rapid growth of the business in 2012 we moved to Mallard House Business Centre, which has given us the potential to employ more staff and expand the business.
On Friday things were looking a little different in the Virya Technologies office, as we all turned up wearing varying levels of red. We also encouraged other businesses here at Mallard House Business Centre to join in with the fun by contributing to 'Rock up in Red', organised by The British Heart Foundation.
This year on Friday 1st February we and many others will be supporting British Heart Foundation in their fundraising event 'Rock Up In Red Day' at the Virya Technologies office.
It may be winter outside but inside the Virya Technologies office it's filled with Christmas winter wonderland decorations!
