News portal
Johann contacted us having followed our JoomlaDayUK 2009 tweets, with regards to completing a migration from 1.0.13 (which was 2 revisions out of date) over to 1.5. He was also interested in an ongoing maintenance contract to ensure that his site remained up to date and secure.
Before we were able to migrate, due to lax security on the original server, the old site was hacked which resulted in a quicker-than-anticipated migration!
The site is now running on 1.5.x and further developments are "in the pipeline". We have also done several contracted maintenance and development jobs for Johann on the other sites he runs.

Corporate site
UK Healthzone approached Suffolk Computer Services (now Virya Technologies) to assist with the implementation of their main site, UK Healthzone, and several "sub sites" for the locations where they provide on-site corporate health and wellbeing services as well as a corporate intranet.
Working closely with their designers and copywriters we developed a site in line with the corporate branding which was expandable for future developments, including blogs, online booking systems and social network integration.

Recruitment portal
We were contacted by Perfect Placement, who had found our website through a Google search, in January 2010. Perfect Placement run a website which is one of the most popular motor trade recruitment sites in the UK, but were having problems with their developers.
We took on the site and immediately updated numerous out of date extensions including Joomla! itself, as well as dramatically improving search engine optimisation which resulted in significant, and immediate, results in terms of ranking in the main search engines.
We continue to support Perfect Placement in their ongoing website support requirements, and are in the process of planning a migration to Joomla! 1.6 next year.

Charity
We were approached by the Abhayaratna Trust to design a new website on their own domain name, as they had previously been operating as a sub-site of the Triratna Buddhist Order site which was not giving good results in terms of awareness and visibility.
We also explored the use of social media for the Abhayaratna Trust - integrating Twitter, Facebook and YouTube into their site.
