An opportunity not to be missed

Joomla!Day events provide anyone who has any kind of interest in the Joomla! Content Management System with the opportunity to meet others - from the core development team through to people just starting out - and learn more.  It gives the chance to bounce ideas off others, troubleshoot problems, and of course find out what is around the corner in terms of future developments.

Having the option to attend workshops and seminars allows you to develop your knowledge in other areas that may not be your speciality, or refine your existing knowledge.  For example last year I attended an interesting session on security and hosting setup which gave me a few more pointers, and was fortunate enough to spend some time finding out about building multilingual sites from the person who actually created Joom!Fish - the leading extension in multi-lingual Joomla! site development.

Of course, there is the fun side - with socials on both Friday and Saturday evenings it's an ideal opportunity to let your hair down, meet new people and generally have a good time! 

Not forgetting, the word "Joomla" actually means "all together, as a whole" - these events are an ideal way of being together, as a whole!
